Wow- since Tom the manager left about two years ago, the service is lacking. Today I went in looking for a replacement dog collar and was going to buy about $500 worth of items. I was by myself. A large group pf six plus a dog decided to stand near me and ask the manager to assist them. It would have been nice for me to finish my task. Nope! The manager decided to take the space that I was using (no, excuse me, may I help you? Or, did you find what you were looking for? ) and allow the group to look over the merchandise as if I did not exist. I waited to see if or how much service he would give me. I waited five minutes. Nope, along with answering that large groups questions and answering the phone my place in line was nonexistent. It should be noted that he looked right at me and knew that I was waiting. Talk about devalued. I left with a disgusted look on my face.Whites only served - Asians not so much. Thats ok. I wont ever set foot in here again. Went to Pets Mart and found what I was looking for. Oh, and the service was there was spectacular.

As soon as I got my new puppy home I signed her up for puppy training here. Raising a puppy is hard work, and dog ownership has changed a lot since I had one as a child. I wanted to “do it right.” I'm sooooo glad I did. Sarah Schusler is FANTASTIC. Sweet, stern, playful and extremely knowledgeable, she knew just when to ignore my pup's barking and when to tune in and handle.I was amazed at how quickly we learned to do things. Every single day we left with new useful commands. And she kept it fun. We had a range of fur all sizes personalities and problems and through the course, we all saw our dogs (and us owners) evolve into better bonded, more comfortable and confident pets and partners. Plus, she has helpful relatable personal stories of her own, pre-trainer experiences with her dog as well as her time working with actual wolves in a reserve. As a result she has great insight into why dogs do what they do and how they'll respond when we do what we do.I recommend Sarah 100x for anyone who wants confidence in their role as fur momma. It's better for your pup and better for you!
The Zuri Pet Spa
32423 Calle Perfecto, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675, United States
Update: we've used Zuri multiple times now and had great experiences every single time. This latest stay included an unexpected extension when our flight was cancelled and we were stranded on the opposite coast. It was a super easy process and eased our anxiety. Seeing the staff interact with the dogs on the daycare cameras and getting the report cards with pictures every few days continues to show us our dogs are genuinely happy and thriving during their stays and that the staff really are great. I recommend Zuri to everyone who asks for boarding recommendations.Boarded my 3 dogs ( 1 senior small dog and 2 large older dogs with bad anxiety) for 12 nights. One of my large dogs had failed the test day at Camp Bow Wow, the other large dog passed but was shaking by the gate the entire time. We decided to try Zuri instead after much research and we are so glad we did. We watched our dogs on the daycare cameras every day- both large dogs did incredible with the other dogs, and the staff were very attentive. More than once we caught staff sitting in the small dog area and petting/playing with dogs. My one large dog with the worst anxiety laid along a wall the entire first day, clearly a little scared. The next day I saw t hat a piece of play equipment had been moved to where she laid the day before where she could hide under the piece of equipment, So they were clearly paying attention to her and felt that would make her more comfortable which was very sweet. All of my dogs upon pickup were not crazy trying to get out like they have been before, they were all calm and we genuinely believe they had an enjoyable stay. We will definitely use them again!

Sit Means Sit Dog Training South Orange County

I want to begin my review with saying how grateful I am to Stephanie, Nick, and the Sit Means Sit team for training my boy - a now 8 month old labradoodle to follow commands in the home and out in the community. At about three months old, he was disobedient, stubborn, and learned to bite as a way to escape/avoid my commands. His temperament was far from what labradoodles are described as. I made excuses for a while due to him teething and being a puppy! I was told these behaviors would pass with time. Meanwhile, his behavior just escalated - he even drew blood from my hands and arms several times which brought many tears and frustration. Prior to SMS, I had two separate and negative experiences with a private trainer and a popular training facility in South OC.I want to both COMMEND AND THANK specifically Stephanie and Nick for all of their communication, dedication, and hard work during my dogs training. I have witnessed positive outcomes in my pups confidence, compliance, and socialization. The previous experiences made it beyond difficult to trust anyone with my dog, but Stephanie made it easy. She was beyond patient, empathetic, and kind. Without any hesitation or annoyance, she would answer my text messages and phone calls! Overprotective first-time dog momma, for sure! LOL. We began Jumpstart and I was assigned Nick as our trainer with few others in between to help my pup generalize the skills he was learning across different people and settings. Although the cost of training may be a little expensive, you get what you pay for. It eased my mind to know that it also comes with a lifetime warranty!Nick is knowledgeable and helped our pup acquire a great new skill set! He was thorough in his explanations of the process and the tools used to help train our dog. I was a little skeptical on if the e-collar will be used as a form of punishment or if it will hurt him. He went above and beyond to allow us to feel the e-collar in different settings and educate us in the manner it will be used which is to gain the dogs attention, especially my pup who is highly distracted and self-directed. This was reassuring! At every session - which was typically outside our home, in our community, or on a field-trip, Nick would begin with the goals he would be targeting for the session and at drop off provide us with a very brief description on how our dog did. Nick is professional and personable. He worked really hard with our pup and showed us how to continue working with our pup to ensure that he maintains his skills. At our last check in, our pup was able to be off leash in a highly distractible area and heel for a few minutes. He is able to comply with all basic commands with minimal prompting/use of e-collar. One of the biggest accomplishments is that my pup is able to be pet by children without jumping on them. He will comply with sit or down and waits to be pet. At our last session, we allowed a 1 1/2 year old little girl with her mom pet him and he lied down with his belly up for cuddles. Made my heart melt! My pup has been transformed from a little T-Rex to a teddy bear!THANK YOU Nick, Stephanie, and SMS Team for this invaluable experience! Our pup is now able to join group classes. We look forward to this upcoming experience and future opportunities that our pup can continue growing with you. For those that are reading reviews for the purpose of making a decision, look no further! You are in good hands!!!
Costco Wholesale
33961 Doheny Park Rd, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675, United States
The Costco store is awesome!... they have always done a great job at this location, carwash, gas station, returns, tires center, etc., are all five stars! This review is for one of the outside vendors that Costco insists on using and is harming their good name and repetition. Over the years we have dealt with different Costco outside vendors; Solar panel, HVAC, Dental coverage and autos insurance and I do not know who is in charge of picking these outside business but Costco needs to assess their process. I am going to explain one of the Costco vendors that we just recently encountered, which has caused me to write this review. REBORN CABINETS, INC. the encounter was weird, creepy, unprofessional and a waste of time...As we were leaving Costco we got approached by a very nice young lady and she asked us if we were interested in new cabinets, we are currently remodeling our kitchen so we were interested in what she had to say and in getting a quote. Knowing that Costco is a great company we agreed and gave our information to the polite young lady. Thinking we should give Costco a shot at this, they do everything else great. BIG mistake, these people at REBORN CABINETS, INC are not anywhere near Costco standards. Our first contact was over the phone with a rude REBORN CABINETS, INC. represented by the name Anderson, I think I really could not understand him that well either he had a strong accent or was pretending to have one. Anderson was asking odd questions in a rude tone, if I own the home, (twice) if it was an apartment, if it was water damaged (twice), if I was going to give them 90 minutes to do the presentation. Kind of a hard sell tactic, pushy like a timeshare event. I almost ended it there, but again its Costco they are always great. A few days later a sales Rep showed up on time at the house in an older truck, no big there but there were no license plates on the vehicle, no DMV tag in the window, kind of creepy. Andrew a man in his early 30s came to the door. I opened the door with my mask on and the first encounter was again almost a deal killer. Andrew had no mask on but showed me that he had one and said if I insisted he would put it on. I asked him to wear it and explained that we have a 90 woman in the house and we are being cautious and needed to protect her. He responded rudely by stating that he had, had his shots and did not think it was necessary. He put on the mask and came in. The whole event took two hours, as he would drag out every topic, he spoke very slowly as if he was thinking one thing and saying another. I am not sure if he was on something or just odd, either way it was an uncomfortable experience to say the least. We were anticipating a normal person and a normal presentation on kitchen cabinet replacement. He gave us his personal view on education and other odd topics as he dragged out the presentation. Being polite we tried to end this encounter as soon as we could. After he gave us a quote for these space-aged cabinets of $59,875, which was nuts. We told him that we would think about it, just to end the event and asked him to leave. Slowly he gathered up his items and left... For us just a creepy event and glad it was over. We have been working with contractors for the past 8 months getting flooring, cabinet and painting quotes never have we had to deal with this type of odd experience. Cost-a-side these are Not Costco type people and I would not recommend them to anyone. After our encounter I did go to the REBORN CABINETS, INC, website and to no surprise found many disturbing reviews, in hindsight I should have none this first before booking the appointment. The whole setup seems like a con job and the creepy experience we had with Andrew in our home was enough for us, we are never going to be using another outside vendor from Costco again. Costco is a great company, but their selection in outside vendors needs to be improved upon. I think it damages their great reputation.
Plaza Del Obispo Shopping Center
31882 Del Obispo St, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675, United States
El Molino de oro, I love their bread! but didnt like the food there. Ive gone to the Italian restaurant in the shopping center that is good! I gone to the FedEx place, that place I didnt like well a certain individual was really bad with customer service,he seem asian some young guy... we were waiting for some important papers, and instead of helping us he went ahead and helped other people, when he had already been helping and made us wait, some young girl asked us if we needed help and we told her we were waiting for him, and she insisted to help us so we said okay, since he wasnt helping us anymore, she was nice. Never going there again!
Ross Dress for Less
32051 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675, United States
I've been to this location a few times. I'm giving it a 3 star because out of the handful of times I've come here, I've only had (2) bad experiences. The 1st- my daughter got cut by a piece of glass that was in clothing. The second happened tonight- we went into the store with all three of our kids. My husband was casually walking around trying to keep out 1 1/2 year old entertained while I looked at rugs. My son had a lollipop and he dropped it. My husband grabbed my son to go look for someone to assist him in getting it cleaned up, but before my husband could even take two steps away from the toddler accident, he was harassed by a worker. (I'll leave the name out). She very rudely said to my husband “uhm excuse me you can clean that up!” I can't make this stuff up, people! My husband said “okay well can you get me a broom?” She said “yes wait here and I'll get you one so you can clean up your mess!”. Left my husband to literally WAIT, brought him back the broom and insisted he needed to clean it once again. (We are totally okay with cleaning up after our children, but the way she handled this situation was so uncalled for.) anyother store, would most likely deman that THEY would clean it up, as a liability. Instead my husband cleaned up a lollipop break with Ross's broom. She then went over and gossiped with her coworkers and didn't get the manager like my husband had asked for. I had to break up her gossip train and ask to speak to the manager again. Upon the manager coming, the MANAGER stopped to hear the girls story first and then came to us. I let the manager know what was going on and the first girl we had the broom issue with, started yelling at me from down the isle! At that point we just left. I left a cart full. I will never be returning to that location again.
Residence Inn by Marriott Dana Point San Juan C...
33711 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92624, United States
I have stayed at Marriotts quite a few times and have noticed over the years a decline, not only in respect from the managers, associates etc but just downright rudeness: that is what happened when I tried to check in here on Saturday December 20th 2020.The customer service person, said her name was Hope, was extremely rude. She SAID, Are you here on (essential) business or leisure? Now, when I booked the reservations I had asked the reservation person if that mattered because I had heard that term again come up: I was told that it did not.I am here along with my wife, taking care of my grandkids for my boys and their wives. Also what does it matter and what is essential? Politicians etc. drinking and eating with thier buddies is what weve seen here in California. Now, my Boys are doing their thing, & I told Hope that they had whatever they were doing: one of my boys is a veteran and mentioned something in regards to business and the same with my other: but what does it matter. She insisted that I could only be here for essential business... Boy I am tired. Also, I have problems with breathing and I had my mask below my nose. This is because my nose has been cracked or broken before, plus other medical reasons that make it hard to breathe through a mask. But she insisted I have it over my nose. But, I tried to explain the above to her.Well somewhere along there shes really pushed the rude button and stated, I can send you to another or some other hotel!!! Can you believe that! Can you imagine the cost, loss of points, being charged & trying to fix all of this?I said, Look I will stand directly behind the shield that is there, & talk from there. By the way we were not that close anyway. (And we were both wearing masks)She insisted that I wear the mask throughout the hotel. Okay?? But that wasnt the problem! It was how she addressed it.Well, Hope, now has a ten pound hammer, so lets pound the heads of the customers. What a child, and extremely dangerous because this is what leads to discriminatory practices. You know being of Jewish descent (with a mixture of Indian and Hispanic blood), this so called covid problem, gives us all insight, how the government, business, plus the public treated the Jewish people, & OTHERS, that were declared the problem: so discriminate, treat ugly, put in jail, dont allow anyone to work or travel, that have been labled as the problem.I guess we never eliminated that attitude here in the U.S. we just found something new to treat one another less than. You cant work, you cant go out, & you cannot have businesses etc. When will we realise, including businesses, this is going to eventually be very detrimental. In addition I have some training in respiratory therapy: these masks dont help, they are only a spit guard, in my probably, worthless opinion. The only thing that would help in totality is to dress up in a self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), or in a more simple manner, use an N95 mask, which only controls about 95% of diseases etc. Plus it is NOT healthy to wear for extended periods. Fact. Also, (small note?) why were masks not pushed before during the cold & flu season? Approximately 30 to 60 thousand Americans die every year of flu etc. Not including other countries. No mask then. Influenza is a virus, & still kills with vaccines being available.Anyway finally checked in, but later I went to the front desk again, there was now another lady present, but I asked for late check out because of my Marriott status. I was told that they would not know and I would have to ask in the morning. Plus Hope said she could not necessarily give it to all three rooms. Also, she said, and I think the other lady agreed (Now I am more upset & frustrated), but said something to the effect, You could be Platinum etc. & that would not guarantee this, etc. Okay. Fine.I will be cancelling my card, & marriott member status. I am done with this company. Also I spoke to another couple, that I think have been here for two weeks already, they said she had treated them rude also.
