Last night my 4 year old Husky who is in very good shape and health went into respiratory distress after a routine walk due to an underlying condition I was not aware of. He was clearly extremely hot, not getting enough air, and it seemed like he was dying in my arms on the way there. I called them and explained the urgency of the situation when I arrived, and they swooped in deftly to save him. Though it was hard for me to hear, they were very honest with me and very responsive that it was not a good outlook, but did so with care while being empathetic knowing I was in the pits. They even let me go in to see him before I left him there for the night in case he did not pull through because he was in very critical condition.Fortunately, the team was able to save my dog. With how quick and accurate the response was from the office regarding my dogs condition, as well as a diagnosis of the underlying condition that caused this unforeseen mess, I have no doubt in my mind that their skilled hands saved my dogs life. In 24 hours he went from dying in my arms in the backseat of the car to asleep and breathing comfortably at my feet as I write this review. I feel so very lucky that I chose to take him here when he needed it most as I dont know what would have happened if I went elsewhere. One of the nicest parts about this was that they clearly only did procedures that he needed, I received a large portion of the money I initially put down back because he was showing strong signs of moving in the right direction. I am not saying to expect any money back, but I am saying that they definitely are not just trying to reach into the pocket book and showed a high level of mindfulness to only do what was necessary when treating my dog.Special thanks to Ryan (one of the technicians) for keeping a watchful eye on him and for letting me bug him a couple times through what was a very long night for me. He made this nightmare somewhat manageable. For that I am extremely grateful. Thank you to the doctor who worked overnight shift 4/12 | 4/13 and her team who treated him and got him back to health.I would be leaving this 5 star review even if my dog had not made it. The unfortunate truth is that there is only so much that can be done in this types of situations, so I feel very blessed that he is as of now taking it easy at home with me. I will be recommending this place to all my friends and family in the area, and most definitely will come here in the future should the need arise. They also didnt care that I was an absolute mess, so that was nice haha

Ive had a few good vets. They have either moved or retired and then ive had not-so-good vets. What makes a good vet? Knowledge and the ability to impart that knowledge. Someone who can help me take better care of my puppy. I have two residences, and have an incredible vet in Temecula, so the bar was set high. I heard from a friend about Dr. Labang, and stopped by to take a look (very convenient inside of Petsmart; but not affiliated. Thats just her space). I met Renee the office person/vet tech/Mom-in-charge-of-cat-wrangling, and was instantly happy there. Then I met Dr. Labang on my first new puppy visit. Once you get over the disarming eyes, she is the most wonderful person to listen to. Even if you listen-by-taking like I tend to do. Shes so patient. Shes available, shes proactive (guesses what youre gonna ask next) and thorough. And such an old-soul. Younger vet (I expect she looks a lot younger than she is), but very old soul. She has the best of both worlds in all the new info, with the old experience. Long review, but when youre picking your doctor for your fur kids, you need info. Info here is Im a client for life; as long as shell have me.
CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets

Was very worried about my dog after my vet had told me he had Congestive Heart Failure. I left a message about scheduling an appointment at CVCA as soon as possible. I was called back within 30 minutes. The callback helped me schedule an appointment, emailed a form to fill prior to visit as well as told me estimated costs for the procedures. Once I arrived at the facility (since I had filled out form in email prior to appointment) I was quickly seen by Dr. Sloane Everett. After getting into the exam room, her staff quickly came to confirm the information on the form that I had filled out, and add anything else that I needed to let the Dr. know. Dr. Sloane Everett and her staff were very professional when handling my dog. (Usually my dog growls and trys to nip so he needs to be a little sedated, but this was not the case. Dr. Sloane Everett and her staff were very kind and let my dog know everything was ok.) I was allowed to be in the room for the whole procedure everything was explained in great detail. (Blood Pressure, and the Echocardiogram) I got to see my dogs heart on the Echocardiogram, Dr. Sloane Everett went through each chamber of the heart on the screen and explained what we were looking for. After the Echocardiogram was finished Dr. Sloane Everett informed me that my dog DID NOT HAVE CHF (which was a huge relief to me) and that it was most likely due to airway or lung disease. She then informed me on my next steps to take to treat my dog. I am very relieved and thankful for the accurate and quick diagnosis of my dog. The Facility is very clean, and the front lobby staff is kind as well. If you have a concern about your pets heart I definitely recommend bringing your pet here for peace of mind and accurate results. (Again, Thank you very much!!!)

In my experience and opinion this veterinary, boarding and grooming services establishment does not offer quality veterinary or grooming services and offer little customer service. Additionally, they do not care about your pets or you, have an attitude and are dishonest. 1) We brought our dog in and they could not diagnose without running a lot of expensive tests. They routinely want to run many expensive tests. We took dog to another vet and he diagnosed immediately without all the tests. We took our cat in for an issue and after an expensive procedure, they could not fix. The other vet fixed after the same procedure. 2) I called in the other day and spoke to Katie at the front desk with a concern about the vet not giving or mentioning a vaccine that was overdue. She said it was a mistake and didn't apologize or seem to care at all. Katie then told Michelle Beck, Director of Operations, that I was upset and cursed at Katie, which is a complete falsehood. Concerned but not upset and never cursed. When I told Michelle that, she said she heard me curse because she could hear the call from her office six feet away from the reception desk, even though it was not on speaker phone. These people are not honest or truthful. They simply don't care and do not provide quality service or customer care. 3) When we took our dog for a bath and grooming, they gave her a haircut and not a bath. They said they made a mistake even though we asked and ordered a bath. They didn't seem to care and didn't apologize. Again, bad customer service, have an attitude, they don't care, and not quality services. I and my pets and wife are so glad we have gone back to my old vet who is farther away but totally worth the drive-and they offer good service, are honest and care.

I want to start this as I was referred here in 2022 for my senior pug. I thought I found a great vet and a home to my 2 pugs. That all changed after the staff was turned over.Since July 2023 my pug started declining with what I thought was heart issue. We think it was seizures but meds never worked. The last part of his life was supported by the staff and the lack of compassion, concern and empathy with our babies. I tried to get some basic questions answered but they wanted me to book a visit to answer them. Dr B went on vacation for Thanksgiving and my baby started declining more and more. They staff forwarded the call to the office manager which was condensing and not nice at all. No compassion on my struggle with my ailing pug.I tried calling them and I realized they would never pick up my calls, they were screening my calls and not answering. This was very concerning as NO doctor should ever do this. This was a difficult time for me and decisions needed to be made with my baby and knowing they were screening the calls was beyond me.The day my baby passed at home I tried calling again and screening. I left a message and they called back in 1 minute. This is not acceptable.During the transition of my baby there was still no empathy or comfort with the staff. Never even offered a box of Kleenex. This practice needs direction on how to treat humans and fur babies. We need supportive care and need them to provide the best care for our babies.Never will come back here again and would emphasize to everyone, look for a new home for the care of your fur babies, they deserve the best. Not cold hearted staff that only wants your money.

Secor Mark DVM

Dr. Secor and his team are the greatest asset any horse owner in Orange County could have. The office assistants are prompt, courteous, and caring of your situation, whatever you may be calling for. Dr. Watanabe is a complete sweetheart, and very gentle when giving immunizations. Dr. Bowen is the only vet who ever believed me when I said my horse was allergic to nature, and helped me get a blood panel done to properly eliminate all of the things causing my mares hair to fall out (which was almost everything, to be honest). When my mares eye started having issues, Dr. Bowen was out there with a gentle voice to explain everything that was going on, how to administer all of the drugs needed, and was always open to phone conversations on what to do next. When the eye went completely white, Dr. Secor came out to the barn to do an in-field eye removal surgery, with Dr. Bowen assisting. He even let a gaggle of vet techs at my barn watch the procedure and ask questions the whole time. His patience with my mare throughout the whole ordeal was insurmountable. He was quick to answer any questions, and open to all the stupid questions of a freaked out horse owner like myself. Just this week, Secor was back at my barn to diagnose the same mare with dermatitis in both back legs. (Yes, shes a walking disaster whom I love with all my heart.) Again, Dr. Secor was extremely patient, and provided me with golden nuggets of his vast knowledge on how to heal the infection. I would say I would give my left eye to Secor and his team for everything they do, but my horse has already done that.
