Comment: After 3 years and multiple pet salons.. I have finally found my beloved dog a place!!From start to finish everything was flawless!! The groomer, who I don’t want to mention because then they will get filled up, I just knew what they knew what to do. It truly was the absolute BEST EXPERIENCE! I was able to get skeeter in within the week. I’m beyond grateful that it was affordable. I was so tired of paying so much money for his groom to be “off”. Finally. I can’t wait for skeeter to return in 6 weeks!Parking can be a mess because of Costco so time yourself accordingly… and Petsmart, as a whole, was a great experience. Thank you so much for the opportunity to share this experience with google reviews.

Comment: Came in to get a hamster and Kyle was super helpful. He was showing me around as to what hamsters need and giving me alternative recommendations and it all worked out! Didnt really appreciate the other worker there who was being all negative and taking it personally about the idea of me putting him in a fish tank (a very generous size one too even with him being a Fancy Bear) but my hamster likes it. Got him all the necessities a hamster needs and he loves his new home :) thanks again Kyle!

I was carrying my puppy and the man who was checking me out started to pet my puppy without asking. As the interactioncontinued he then tried to take my puppy out of my arms again without asking. I will definitely be back at the store, but I hope they can have more conversations with their associates about asking to pet other peoples animals.

In another tank of standard Koi, there was another fish really suffering and will probably be dead before too long. So if you’re koi shopping, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Comment: My Grandaughter and I went in to find a hamster that she could comfort her. She lost an aunt and uncle five days within each other. The man that was at the register would not sell it to them. They said she would have to do research on it before she bought it. My Grandaughter told him that it was going to my house and I was very knowledgeable about them. They said in there words “ I don’t care” my Grandaughter was so upset crying. They were very rude. Hope it wasn’t cuz they were going to feed that one to there snakes. The reason why she wanted that one is because it was all by itself and so lonely. We told them we shop there all the time and that we wouldn’t be going there anymore and the guy said “ good I hope I don’t see your face in here again” so shocked at there customer service.

I bought one package of “25-30 sm/med size crickets” the day before Christmas, and quite literally recieved 2 crickets in the box. Tried to grab a new one the day after Christmas, and despite the purchase attached to my phone number, they wanted the box. The dirty, stinky, box filled with dead animal material. I won’t be coming back here. This was the last straw.

Comment: These groomers lack customer service skills they dont pay attention to the customer and when you walk in they all ignore you for a while as if they are waiting to see if one or the other groomers respond first I walked in after making my appointment over the phone just 30 minutes ago and the girl did not know why I was there knowing there was an appointment about to walk in I gave the my name and my dogs name and she still could not figure out what was going on last time I took my dog to them they left cotton balls in his ears I didnt notice until I saw my dog shaking its its alot I decided to give them another try again but it was worthless I just walked out and decided to pay 20 bucks more elsewhere but it was worth it

Comment: As soon as I got my new puppy home I signed her up for puppy training here. Raising a puppy is hard work, and dog ownership has changed a lot since I had one as a child. I wanted to “do it right.” I’m sooooo glad I did. Sarah Schusler is FANTASTIC. Sweet, stern, playful and extremely knowledgeable, she knew just when to ignore my pup’s barking and when to tune in and handle.I was amazed at how quickly we learned to do things. Every single day we left with new useful commands. And she kept it fun. We had a range of fur all sizes personalities and problems and through the course, we all saw our dogs (and us owners) evolve into better bonded, more comfortable and confident pets and partners. Plus, she has helpful relatable personal stories of her own, pre-trainer experiences with her dog as well as her time working with actual wolves in a reserve. As a result she has great insight into why dogs do what they do and how they’ll respond when we do what we do.I recommend Sarah 100x for anyone who wants confidence in their role as fur momma. It’s better for your pup and better for you!

Comment: I took my dog to this location after having positive experiences at the petsmart grooming salons up in NorCal. First red flag when I got in, his groomer Jenn was brushing out/finishing with another dog who was barking and she was telling him to shut up and seemed super annoyed. She then asked coworkers if she could muzzle him and they all said no. Dogs bark, you should especially know this when working with them. She was acting so rude towards that prior pup. Despite my gut feeling I dropped my pup off. I came back to pick him up and his eyes hadn’t been wiped, he had hair/shedding everywhere on him (even though I paid for the furminator?). And his nails looked like they were grinded at just the tips not shortened at all. Super disappointed and won’t be coming back to this location.

Comment: I went to get my puppy her first bath and made an appointment. When I got there they checked her in and told me it would take an hour. I came back an hour later and they hadn’t even started!!! They said they had a walk-in and for some reason walk ins get priority!!? This makes no sense! Why even make an appointment! They had no answer for me! They then said they had another walk-in and so it would be awhile before they could start! This is stupidest policy. They said sorry, but did not explain why they do this! I will never go there for anything ever again!

Specifically, the store manager has assisted me with getting pet supplies for a dog I recently adopted from a rescue. Comment: Got what you need, when you need it. Feels a bit expensive, but I think most pet store products are expensive because there are three things in life people will gladly spend enormous sums on: weddings, babies, and pets. But I digress. This store is large and well-lit. I only buy cat stuff and the selection of cat toys, food, scratchers, and beds is good. As of this writing, The Ark of San Juan cat rescue shows cats here in this store. My family has adopted two rescue cats here, both fully vaccinated, neutered, and chipped. This business relationship for PetSmart and The Ark is truly symbiotic, because one can adopt a cat (if approved) and then turn around and buy stuff from the store. This store also has a busy grooming department, and its fun to watch the animals get groomed. They also do dog training in the store. Lots of fish and a few reptiles. Saw a chinchilla, I think, the other day. Only reason for 4 stars, rather than 5, is that often, it seems, the checkout line takes longer than it should (and Id rate my overall patience an 9 out of 10).

Tried adopting a cat from there and unfortunately they make you fill out an application and then the shelter makes the determination as to wether or not you are worthy to own the animal. So we went to the humane society and got a beautiful loving cat for $25 and took her home same day.

The girl at the register helped me with this whole process on changing the prescription into a card. One of my rescue dogs gets to go to the store and walk around its her little special time and she absolutely loves it. She loves all the smells and browsing up and down all the Isles and of course smelling all the cat products!

Comment: HORRIBLE service, some of the woman who work here are rude and they always smells like marijuana. I took my dogs here at 10am thinking that was enough time for them to finish by 2pm since one of them had a vet appointment. The lady who took my dog, Mango, told me they would be done by 2pm and I call them and she tells me they wont be done until 3:30-4pm and says its not her fault because I didnt tell her that one of them had an appointment. I do not understand why it takes 6hrs to cut and shampoo dogs. She probably smoked a lot of marijuana and wasn’t able to function enough at work. They need to start taking drug test from their employees here. Last time I had an appointment at 8AM and she was the only one there when I brought my dog. The smell of marijuana was so heavy in there. The health of my dog is being affected by their groomer being high on drugs at work. I am not against marijuana but if you do a job that affects the health of others, you should not be high at work. I do not recommend this place. Although the deals are great the service is bad. It’s a clean store.

Comment: Dog Groomers are the worst. They do not respect you or your dog what so ever. They act the fakest whenever there is a manager around. Brought my German Shepherd here for a groom. Mango groomed my dog and it was the worst grooming experience. The cut was uneven and my poor dog had sharp razor cuts all around it. My poor dog was scared every time we touched him for weeks because of mangos horrible job. I don’t know what she did to my poor Scotty. Additional I sent my teenage daughter to pick up the dog and when my daughter came back she said the groomer (mango), was flirting with her. I went back to the store to have a talk with her and asked for her name and she refused although it was written on her grooming coat. Never take you dogs or your teenagers to this place. Not recommend.

They have an attached vet clinic, and they do cat adoptions on most weekends. They offer training classes for dogs and grooming. They have birds, rodents, freshwater fish, and some reptiles for sale. The employees are friendly and helpful. The few times Ive needed to exchange something or get a refund it was very easy to do.

Comment: Do not buy the fish from this place!!! Of course the fish go through bouts of diseases but the staff did not even bother to tell me that some were sick. Its a shared water system so they all pretty much get sick at once. I had been coming here a few times a week and have spent hundreds of dollars here. I cant believe the neglect the staff had. All my tanks at home got infected and four weeks later Im left with only 5 sick fish. The rest? Dead. Its painful to treat your fish for the diseases and still watch them die. Ill never shop here again.

Comment: Grooming review!! This Petsmart is phenominal. After me rescheduling twice on these guys they somehow squeezed in my 75lb, long haired GSD for a bath that same day. I arrived a little early and we immediately got started on signing the permission form and they even offered to do the furminator treatment on him.. even though they were packed when we got there. BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE!! It took awhile, but it was well worth the wait. Received a call from Alexandrea and went to pick up my fluff monster.. he looks and feels AMAZING! and hes so happy. Thank you Petsmart and Alexandrea! You have really outdone yourselves.

I had mad fleas and needed a stronger bomb ( I have a cat but they only have 1 bomb by dog stuff) and to find it I had to ask someone it was on bottom shelf way in corner I never would have found it. And they only had one choice. Seemed odd since almost everyone gets fleas at some point. Even local Stater bros had a better selection.
