Comment: This place is disgusting.Checked in with my family and service animal. We wanted a featherless room, quiet. We were put into a room with feathers and on the side of the train. Between allergies and the train we were up all night. My husband requested us to be moved where the front desk girl said she would “waive” the pet fee for the inconvenience but our dog isn’t just our pet, he’s my autistic child’s REGISTERED service animal. The next room we got was just gross. Not clean, and slapped together. For the price you’re better checking in right down the road at the double tree in Dana point. As a travel advisor, I’ll be reporting this to Marriott as this is NOT standard. This hotel needs to be gutted and remodeled desperately, and the staff needs to be also!

Comment: Friendly staff. Freeway loud. Room was clean. The desk chair was dirty. The shower was clogged. The TV remote/satellite was slow. The price was outrageous for 1 night.

Comment: Got together with sisters and their dogs at this Marriott in Dana Point. Location is convenient, theres an Albertsons about 1 mile away, the harbor is about 2 miles and the I-5 ramps are close by. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, especially to our dogs! We ate @ a restaurant called What A Dish that also welcomed your furry family and they had dog cupcakes for them! The weather also cooperated, we had a cool but sunny weather and we enjoyed our harbor walks!

Comment: Bloody looking handprint on the couch, wrappers next to the TV, a dirty shower curtain, and a view of the roof out the windows are what you can expect if you are a Bonvoy member and book the nicest room (king bed with separate living room). Also missing was a frying pan or dish soap.

Comment: Amazing place, this is a pet friendly hotel with many great amenities such as Landry machines, a workout room, pool, basketball half court, and putting area. This is also a walking distance from Costco and a few minute drive from Trader Joe’s. Many beaches near by I would recommend the state park but it is rocky you could also try Aliso beach Park bigger waves there. Most rooms have a full size fridge, dishwasher, and stove. The staff are amazing and if you ask you can get waffles on the weekends for breakfast otherwise they have a small buffet during weekdays.P.S: There is a train the comes by often and has a loud horn:).

Comment: Frequenting California, My family loves the Dana Point area. This is a great place to stay near your favorite beaches at Laguna, ours being Treasure island beach.It’s also close enough to spend time in Newport and Corona Del Mar. The latter being about a 20min drive down the PCH.This location is also right off of the highway, and Costco is right around the block. There is also an Albertsons up the street.The exact area of the Residence Inn isn’t upscale, but it sits in its own space.It takes just a few short minutes to get to the Dana point marina, and also Salt creek beach.The Residence Inn here, is a MUST for families. There is no better place to stay when traveling with a group. Super nice rooms. I like the room with the open floor plan. It is hard to find two queens in a room these days, but you will find them here! And yes! They are super comfy!Included is an additional sofa bed, a kitchenette and all the amenities, so make sure to request this one! if you prefer, you can request a suite, with two separate rooms, and a front room if that’s what you prefer.Complimentary breakfast is served daily, and some evenings, you will find activities, cocktails and snacks.Spend the day at your favorite beach and come back to splash in the pool or relax in the hot tub. Workout in the fitness room, put a load of laundry in the laundry room, or grill for your family, at the outdoor grill.And, to cap off your night, don’t forget to put your feet up while lounging around the seated fire pit.Always friendly and accommodating staff on hand to help with anything you may need.*Not the place I would stay for romance, but this will always be my go to place to stay when traveling with my family or a group.UPDATE: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️If my review has been helpful to you at all, please give me a thumbs up😁👍🏼

Comment: They have a golf course, a basketball court, jackozi, broken shower outside, pool thats heated. The beach is within walking distance. They have Paul Michelle products and the staff are really nice. The free breakfast was amazing make your own waffles, oatmeal, veggie biscuits, sausages, fruits, coffee and tea. They also have red apples in the gym+they have a laundry room.

Comment: Amazing Staff, great room service, great amenities, but quite lacking and firm beds.Over the course of my stay, I had a chance to experience my suite and most of the amenities in the hotel. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Also, the pool and exercise room are quite good and are up to date. The rooms are spacious, well planned, and have all of the things that most people need or want in their room for the price. The beds are the only issue in the room. They were quite firm.Overall, my stay was quite a good one. I can not reiterate enough how good my stay was. My only issue is the beds, they are just to firm for myself and the other guests that I talked to. (This review is strictly my own. I did ask other guests what they thought about the beds in their respective rooms)

Comment: Hotel is right by train track and there must be crossing as the train rings it’s bell constantly woke me up at all points during the night
