Comment: I can not tell you how happy we are with Sit Means Sit! Our little Murphy was so protective and territorial we were afraid to walk him. That started the catch 22 cycle. Now we can walk in a relaxed state and even better, he walks in a relaxed state.Murphy did the 10 day stint because he recently began nipping. I was afraid hed come to back a different dog... He did, but in all the right ways. Hes the same lovingly playful boy, but now has better manners. They updated us regularly and sent pics and videos of the actual training out in the real world.We are still working on the doorbell trigger, but these folks are just a text away whenever we need help. They stick with the you as long as you stick with them!We thank you, and Murphy thanks you!

Comment: We were referred to Sit Means Sit by a friend after I had a confirmed torn rotator cuff from repeated yanking on walks with Barkley. Getting him on leash and walking him was miserable and we were frustrated. We knew he was trainable but he always chose being naughty.While getting his updates during his 20 day stay, we saw immediately he was doing so well and saw what he was capable of! It was truly night and day.Instead of being frustrated and yelling at him, we now play games with him in his continued training and spend more time loving on him and less time being frustrated.Hands down Sit Means Sit gave us confidence and got Barkley on loose leash walks without a pronged collar. The continued relationship and check-ins have helps us trouble shoot as needed and Andy is truly Barkley’s buddy. Their bond is so strong and Barkley LOVES to see Andy.

We sent him away with Andy for 10 days to learn all the basic foundations that a dog should know. He did so well and we’re very appreciative to Andy for the consistency and love he gave River. We also love that it’s not just the 10 days they work with him. We had follow up training after and now we’re joining the group training to make sure he has all his commands down. Comment: I am at a loss for words! We recently got a golden retriever puppy and knew we needed training before he got big. Once we signed up, we immediately started the puppy preschool, which set the foundation for us which made his actual training much easier. The entire crew at Sit means sit is on the same page so no matter who you are working with you won’t get mixed signals. Ralphie is now 5 1/2 months old and is better trained than 90% of the dogs I see when I’m out walking him in our neighborhood. Having a big dog and a young child we knew that training was not an option, but a necessity. For the rest of my life and future dogs we get will be trained at Sit Means Sit.

I tried to train our puppy myself at home with a in-home program I purchased online, but I just got so burned out — I really wasn’t making much progress on my own. Save yourself the trouble and frustration of trying to “go it alone,” and just bring in the pros from the get-go. Highly recommend and worth every penny! Ask for coach Andy!! 🤓

Comment: We did the 10 day board and train with sit means sit with our 4 month old Bernedoodle, Archie. We got consistent updates and he came back so obedient and well trained but still had his fun loving personality. Then we did our two sessions after the 10 day course with Tristan. He was so helpful at giving advice on things we needed help with Archie and now at almost 5 months Archie is praised everywhere we go. He heels with me on walks and doesn’t tug the leash anymore. He comes when I ask him with no hesitation even with distractions of other dogs or people. He can sit in any location I identify as place and stay there until I release him. I highly recommend working with the team at sit means sit and especially Tristan. Their training really does work.

Comment: Where do I start?! We did the 5 day one hour a day training + 2 follow ups. Honestly I didn’t think that would be enough to help my very strong-willed, anxious dog Leo. His main issues were not listening and specifically, obsessing over balls & my daughter’s toys to the point that we could not get him to drop whatever was in his mouth… sooo frustrating!! We were desperate when we called Sit Means Sit.Kevin and Andy were amazing and my husband and I were shocked at the improvements he made in such a short time!! Comment: We just picked up our two rescue dogs from a ten day boot camp. We really like the staff and our dogs seem to like them too. The facility is clean, and staff professional and knowledgeable. Staff explained well how to move forward with training at home and encouraged us to call with any questions or concerns. Our dogs learned a lot and now we have some tools to reinforce what they learned.Follow up three months later:First of all, the week after the Boot Camp, we saw an amazing change in our dogs attentiveness to commands. We were able to walk with them on a leash, and recall them - where before their obedience had been random and chaotic. (They had over a year of bad habits to overcome.) We have been attending the midweek and Saturday morning classes with Sit Means Sit. About 30 dogs and owners show up. This is a great time to test out how well our dogs are doing amidst distractions. We love these training sessions and the counseling and instruction we get from the sit means sit instructors who run them. Our dogs are doing great! They are still improving week by week and can handle off-leash commands most of the time. We can trust the dogs to recall to us, and we can see the dogs trusting us more and more.

Comment: I would recommend this training. We got a Lab puppy and decided quickly that she needed training. In looking at different trainers, Sit Means Sit had great reviews. We picked the 5 days training and it was a game changer. Boo went from jumping and nibbling and running the house to obeying our commands. She picked it up fast and we are about 3 weeks past the training and the support and continued training is top notch. Boo is 7 months old and we look forward to having fun with her and learning more as time goes! The staff has been great, and our trainer, Kevin is amazing too!!

Comment: I wont bury the lead. Sit Means Sit Training Really Works! Kevin (the trainer) definitely delivered on the promise that IF, my wife and I follow their program and are consistent that they guarantee results. Kevin and Megan came to our house and I thought the program was expensive and Megans (the managers) guarantee claims were a exaggerated and that this was going to be a waste of money, so I bit the bullet and paid the 50% deposit on the spot. Fast Forward, we have been working the program diligently for the past month and OK, I admit it, I WAS WRONG! It was the best INVESTMENT I could have made for our fur baby, EMMA and ourselves and I suggest that if you, change your mindset, like i did and and look at it as a long term investment (ROI over 10 years), then you will definitely sign up. The reviews here are real and not made up, but I will say, it is not a one and done, if you are not willing to invest time to train your dog, then you are throwing yor money away.p.s Make sure to request Kevin and you get to meet his boy Onyx.(beautiful shepard/husky mix)

He was a young and energetic puppy when we enrolled him in the puppy socialization and the 21-day boarding program. After completing the program, he has become a well-behaved and obedient dog. One of the best things about Sit Means Sit is that they teach your dog to be reliable off-leash. Goose can now walk, run, and play without a leash, and he always comes when I call him. He is very social and friendly with other dogs and people, and I have no worries about taking him out in public.I love that Sit Means Sit offers weekly training sessions on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They are a great way to reinforce what Goose learned in the boarding program, and to learn new skills and tricks. The trainers are very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful1. Great girls in need of direction as they tend to compete with one another in public for title of “Who is Crazier?” They split direction as they walk/run, they have different priorities, and I am only one person!In April of 2023 my beau and I moved to San Clemente all the way from Massachusetts. We were ready for a new adventure embarking on a bicoastal life! Three weeks after our move, he passed away suddenly and it changed my life. We still had a business going back in Massachusetts, and I was left in a new home with two loving nutty young dogs in need of guidance and a place to board while I traveled back and forth. It had to be safe, healthy, and a happy environment for my dogs. This past summer, I have had the girls in the 20-day board and train (which they allowed me to divide into two parts of 10 days), and I have since had them in a board and refresh for a week! I have also started taking them to group classes which are very helpful in practicing what we have learned!While I have been traveling, I have received lots of pictures and fun YouTube videos of the girls on adventures to various businesses and parks they have gone to practice commands. The trainers work in groups so the dogs are always watched over and given great attention. They go on all kinds of local adventures! Comment: We love our Hurley, but if you were to tell me he would be walking in a heel behind me near another dog, I would have laughed. Sit Means Sit has dramatically helped us work through so many issues we had (created) with our hyper Aussiedoodle and strengthened our communication in general. I was worried that his fun loving personality would be affected, but quite the opposite. They have taught him manners, and shown us how to communicate correctly and what to do in the situations we have been generally avoiding. Before, I couldn’t even walk him without a harness in fear he would hurt his neck, much less get his attention or stop him from barking at other dogs. I am blown away on how well he is responding to the work and training, and the sky is the limit on what we can and will do together. We will be constantly working but he has already come so far in a short time. Kevin, Andy and Joel have been a blast. They truly show their knowledge, commitment, and care for the wellbeing of the dogs. I highly recommend the SJC location and team!

After a board and train and two one on one follow ups with Andy and Lenny, Wayne is becoming a fun dog to take on walks, had drastically improved with most distractions, and now the team is helping us work on getting the focus off dad. Comment: We are so happy with all the trainers here! We started at sit means sit (south county) when our Rhodesian ridgeback was just a puppy. The puppy classes and the jump start program. It is more of people training haha and the trainers (special shout out to Maddie, John, and Lukas:)) are super knowledgeable and patient with us and all our questions. We have continued to attend the group classes which have been game changing with her socialization and excitement around other dogs.Our pup is definitely well behaved in public and we are confident in her obedience. I told them when I dropped him off, I wanted him to come back with a levitating halo where his current devil horns resided. And thats exactly what happened. Baxter now properly walks on a leash by my side, sits, stays in place, doesnt bark incessantly or bite. It definitely made him so much easier to have in the house. The Sit Means Sit staff supports you through the whole process with in-home lessons before and after the board and train and we look forward to continuing training with group classes. Curtis, the trainer assigned to our dog, was incredible. He explained things so well, took the time to answer our questions and work with us to ensure we understood everything. It was also apparent he really cared about our pup and enjoyed spending time with him. I would highly recommend their program!!

Comment: We came to Sit Means Sit after our rescue dog Phoebe began developing some aggressive behavior. She started jumping the outside fence, growling, was overly territorial about strangers around us and really seemed to dislike other dogs. Since she was a rescue we really didn’t know her history and what we were dealing with. Chris met us and assessed our needs, spending over an hour learning all about our lifestyle, our family and our dogs. We enrolled in the train at home program and had the best trainer, Matt, come to our home. Matt was so calm and confident, Phoebe was hesitant but started learning immediately. Day after day, Phoebe met Matt at the gate with her collar and soon it seemed she was looking forward to it. She then started going to class at their facility and we were shown videos of her next to other dogs with no interest! We graduated to my daughter and I working with our dogs at home and going to weekly classes. Phoebe is a new dog. Our friends are amazed. She barely barks, she comes immediately when called, she listens intently and we don’t worry about her around strangers. Sit Means Sit is amazing. Comment: I adopted my sweet, old boy from the shelter and, as with most rescues, had zero clue about his history. He is an amazing boy but an escape artist and can be pretty mean around other dogs. I reached out to Sit Means Sit at the recommendation of my neighbors after he bolted through the front door and had a grand old time running a muck in the streets.My roommate decided to join in on the fun with her dog and we chose the 5 day Jumpstart program (both dogs together with two trainers for one hour). Miguel and Ashley were (and continue to be) amazing with both dogs, as well as with us as owners. They explained everything clearly and confidently and helped us through how to work with the dogs and continue their training.We chose Sit Means Sit because of their long standing reputation for good results, but more than that we wanted a network of people. With Sit Means Sit, we not only got our trainers, but we got access to all the trainers, classes, videos, and wealth of knowledge they could offer us.While my boy still has a long way to go, I am extremely pleased with the progress he has made and am excited to help him reach his full potential!

Comment: We are so blessed to have found this dog training CTR.My husband and I are truly impressed by the professionalism, kindness, and knowledge of their trainers.They are very thorough with their explanations and guidance not only with our dogs but also us.The progress they made in the first week alone was amazing! Received daily reports from Ashley which were wonderful to get. The trainer Ashley is very sweet and a true professional and clearly cared for our dogs.

Comment: I had done a lot of research into the various local dog training services available and decided Sit Means Sit was the best choice for me - I was not disappointed.Thanks to Sit Means Sit, I have complete confidence with the off-leash control of my dog.I can reliably recall her from long distances. I can heel her through a crowd of people and dogs while off leash. I can maintain her attention in busy and distracting environments.This has made both our lives much more enjoyable as I can give her more freedoms while having the peace of mind that I can keep her safe and under control.The at-home private lessons and the ability to attend unlimited group classes during my dog’s lifetime makes the cost of their service a worthwhile investment.I always look forward to the group classes and go as often as I can. They provide a great environment to train around distractions (i.e. other dogs, people, and “scary” objects).I often get approached by dog owners at the park complimenting my dog’s obedience, and I’m always happy to recommend Sit Means Sit to them.Thank you Whitney, Chris, Miguel and Ashley - you guys are doing a great job!
