Jack Russell Terriers are smooth, smart, and stubborn dogs. The Jack Russell was once used to bolt red and grey foxes, badgers, and groundhogs from their dens. Although the JRT is not an AKC recognized breed, it is a tenacious, athletic and highly energetic breed that loves digging.
